Swedish Massage

Swedish techniques vary from light to vigorous. Generally, Swedish includes a combination of long gliding (effeurage), kneading (petrissage), tapotement (percussion), and friction strokes applied to the superficial tissues of the body. They can be applied separately or mixed and matched to adapt to the needs of each client. The strokes are combined with active and passive movements to create a fluid and relaxing massage session. The mechanical and reflex benefits are primarily intended to increase circulation of the blood and lymphatic fluid though out the body as well as increase joint range of motion.
